Dam-si (曇始, ?~?) was a Buddhist monk of Goguryeo.
Life
Around 400, in the 5th year of Gwanggaeto the Great of Goguryeo, he returned from the Eastern Jin (東晋) carrying dozens of volumes of the Buddhist sutra and vinaya texts and proselytized in the Liaodong (遼東) region.1 He is said to have been originally Chinese, performed many miraculous deeds, and had feet whiter than his face, so he was also called Baekjok Hwasang (白足和尙, "White-Footed Monk").1
